Pride Advocacy Rally
When: Friday, June 1st at 6pm
Where: The steps of the City – County Building, 414 Grant Street, Downtown
Splash
When: Thursday, June 7th
Where: Herforth & Karlovich Party Palace – Mt. Washington
The annual SPLASH pool party will once again be held at the beautiful home of Steven Herforth & Peter Karlovich. Come enjoy the view, libations, food, and the beautiful people.
Bring your bathing suit as the hot tub and pool will be HOT HOT HOT!

Pub Crawl
When: Friday, June 8th 8PM to 2AM
Its called a crawl because, well, we think that’s really sexy, but it’s actually a chauffeured tour of the city’s coolest clubs, bars, and lounges. There’s something free for you at each stop!
Buses will drop and pick up approximately every 20 minutes from 8 pm to 2 am.
Every stop will have a Pub Crawl staff person at the door. Turn in your ticket to receive your coupon book for the evening, or purchase a ticket from the staff person.

Pride in the Street
Pittsburgh’s Largest Outdoor Party!
When: Saturday, June 9th Doors Open at 6pm
Where: Liberty Avenue between 9th and 10th Street, Downtown
The Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that Academy Award® and two-time Grammy® winner Melissa Etheridge will be the featured entertainer at its “Pride in the Street” event.
Etheridge will perform a 90-minute show with a full band on the outdoor stage at Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh between 9th and 10th streets.
A native of Leavenworth, Kansas, Etheridge is known for her mixture of confessional lyrics, pop-based folk-rock, and raspy, smoky vocals. Despite her large LGBT following, this is Etheridge’s first performance at a Pride event.
Dave Sanchez a.k.a. 7up, will be our opening DJ at Pride in the Street. For longer then many can remember, the name 7up has been synonymous with the house scene dropping his unique mixing style at thousands of events and every major nightclub in Pittsburgh and major cities around the country. Dave has played a role in representing a vibe of the city with a new generation of people from all over making Pittsburgh their home, and with that bringing a global love of house music
Following the Melissa Etheridge concert, legendary DJ Tracy Young will keep the party going by spinning her legendary tracks. Since being asked to DJ Madonna’s wedding and remix the first single and title track off her album “Music”, Tracy has became a global electronic music celebrity in demand at nightclubs around the world and a breakout name on the Billboard charts racking up 40 #1 Club Play hits including 13 Madonna remixes as well as imaginative electronic reinventions of songs by Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and Enrique Iglesias, just to name a few.

Pride Awareness March
When: Sunday, June 10th
Where: Downtown
The 2012 Pittsburgh Pride Awareness March is sure to be bigger than ever! In 2011 we had over 120 organizations and groups participating representing thousands of people….more than the Veterans Day Parade, according to the Post-Gazette! Once again led by the Dykes on Bikes contingent, this year’s parade participants will consist of a caravan of LGBT organizations, community groups, corporations, and politicians.
Billy Hileman will be our Grand Marshal this year. A former intern for Representative Barney Frank, Hileman was national co-chair of the 1993 March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation. The founder and publisher of Planet Q, a Pittsburgh-based LGBT newspaper, Billy has been a local community activist for many years, founding CRY OUT! ACT UP! in 1987 and served as a member of Citizens for Police Accountability during the fight for Pittsburgh’s Citizen Police Review Board.
Line up is at 10am on Blvd of the Allies between Smithfield and Grant Streets.
The Grandstand will be located at the PrideFest entrance at Liberty Avenue & 6th Street.
PrideFest
When: Sunday, June 10th 1PM – 6PM
PrideFest is a day-long free event that takes place on Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh between 6th Street and 10th Street. In 2011, we had over 60,000 attendees (according to City of Pittsburgh estimates), and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever!
This year’s event will feature:
- Over 100 vendors
- Street performers
- Food booths
- Family friendly carnival games and inflatable attractions
- A wide variety of continuous entertainment on two stages
PARKING
Parking is available in many downtown lots including the Convention Center Garage & the 9th Street Garage (must enter from Smithfield St. Side).
BEER GARDEN:
Ticket pricing for the Beer Garden will be announced soon!
Enjoy an icy cold Coors Light while you watch the entertainment at PrideFest 2010! Must have a VALID ID. The beer garden is a 21+ event.
